The animal must be clean, healthy, harmless, odourless, and not pregnant.Animals intended for laboratory and scientific purposes will not be accepted, unless the shipper provides a certificate confirming that the animals are transported on behalf of a Medical Research Hospital or a Scientific Institution.PRMs, Pregnant women, UMNRs are allowed to carry PETC. ![]() Passengers with INFs are not allowed to carry a PETC.The same restriction of 21 days applies in the event that the vaccination is applied after missing the original expiration date. If the animal had his first Anti-rabies vaccination, it cannot travel, until 21 days have elapsed from the date of vaccination. The Anti-Rabies vaccination is repeated every year. For a vaccination to be considered valid it must have been applied after the application of the microchip or tattoo. The animal must be a minimum of 12 weeks old, with a valid Anti-Rabies vaccination on the day of travel.When travelling abroad you must also present a pet passport. The pet health book must be presented for inspection at check-in and the animal must have been fitted with a mandatory ID microchip. The maximum permitted weight for a pet, including the container, is 8kg.Please note that for DH4 aircraft, the pet carrier case dimensions are reduced to: 40cm x 25cm x 25cm.The pet carrier case must be no larger than: 55cm length, 40cm width and 23cm height.If the passenger wishes to transport more than one pet then it is imperative that the pets already be familiar with each other. Passengers are permitted to travel with just one pet, either a dog or a cat, which will accompany the passenger within the aircraft cabin and must travel in a special pet carrier case which it is the passenger’s responsibility to provide. Transportation of pets in the aircraft cabin is permitted only if the pets are carried in a special pet carrier case.
